The queen and her family visits two little villages and the citizens of that villages plays all kind of music and plays for her. Children are singng songs - it's just a great day for her after the terrible ski accident of one of her sons in February this year. Ok so far about our national holliday. And now the winner of my spring give away. My son picked a name out of the list and the winner is. ANNI - from Fabric and Mixed Media Art. A very special journal.

This week i received this beautiful "Bird Inspire" journal from my dear blogger friend Suzy. Take a look on her blog and see for yourself how she makes the most beautiful artwork. Visiting her blog is making a tour through a world of fabulous delicate fabrics, beautiful lace, old vintage dolies and colors. Spring is coming!!

Spring is finally coming. When i look outside i see several singns of it. Bulbs coming out of the ground giving there delicate flowers in all kind of colors. Trees are showing fragile green leafs and little white flowers. I put some inside in a big bowl to enjoy them even when it's raining outside. Made a cloth bunny mamma with her baby to give my house a little spring touch. Have a nice time.

And another one.

I know i have to stop this doll making. It's getting to much. My granddaughters are already overloaded now haha. Maybe one as giveaway on this blog?? Mmmmm.. thinking about that. I can't put them all on my cupboard. When I create this doll the sun was shining into my studio so i decided to dress her in spring colors.

Hope you all have a nice week.

Home decoration??

Ok. When I started making a doll for my granddaughter I immediately knew that i had a new addiction. I had so much fun behind my sewing machine seeing how the dolls grow out of a piece of fabric. I made another doll for my granddaughter and a hanging doll for decoration in my home. And ofcourse all in pink. Musn't have every (big)girl have a pink cloth doll?? I think so even my friends ask for one now.

Made something different.

My little granddaughter already became one year. Oh how time fly.. They grow up so fast leavng us behind a little bit older year by year. My daughter told me several times that she would love to have a ragdoll for her little girl. And Last week when the weather was very cold and we all have to stay inside i start looking on internet for some patterns. I searched for some fabric in my hobby room and after a couple of hours behind my sewing machine i had a ragdoll. Isn't she adorable with the little bunny in her pocket??

Tomorrow she goes to her new home where her little mother already waits for her.

The road to my house.

In October I signed up on the workshop "A road to my house" from Carole Brungar owner of the blog Madness and Mess . I love Carole her work very much, it's always suprising and very lovely. For me this workshop was a big challenge cause i never did any machine free motion stitching before. I loved it-and after stitching i took the piece with my on vacation to do the embroidery. My wallhanger goes about the little places and things that is daily around me and also gives a little impression about holland the country i live in. The pictures are not very good but the weather is cold and dark here and gave me no light to make better pictures. Hopefully it is enough for you to see it.

I wish you all a wonderful week.

lang geleden // long time ago

It's alobg time agoo since i posted on my blog. The problems with my shoulder and hands are not gettig better. Creating costs me a lot of time this days. But my mind is full of ideas. The last months i made this. 22 pages, fabric book themed "BIRDS". It is made with lots of old and new lace, fabric, paint, paper and stamps. It is not complete finished but i want to show you some pictures already.

The most beautiful gift.

A week ago i won the most beautiful giveaway On the blog from Suzy named Suzyqu's Treadworks. Suzy makes the most beautiful journals, wallhangers and purses with fabric, lace and beads. You have to look at her blog its really magic how she manage to use colors and fabrics and let it all comes together in the most beautiful art. Yesterday i received this gorgeous purse.

See all the beautiful layers and details.

Even the back and inside of the purse are full with layers of beautiful lace.

And look was i was inside!!

Thank you dear Suzy for this beautiful giveaway. It's a real treassure. I love love love it.

This little matchbox i made for a challenge. It's 2 inches and we had to use only used materials for it. The cover is made from a dried and used teabag- ironed on fabric. The fabrics and lace are remnants from previous projects, the button from an old shirt. The inside paper from an advertising note bloc i received from a company. Ok all sew together with new tread. Isn't it a cute notebook for in a small purse??
