Again I played with my sewing machine and made some towels for my kitchen. I love the old french designs. The next time i will use some darker blue for them.



I wish you all a nice day. Here in the Netherland we have a holiday to celebrate the birthday of our Queen. Everyone goes grazy with orange hats and clothing. In every village and town there are fleamarkets. This is the day of the year to clean your garages and lofts and try to sell as much as you can on the markets. At the end of the day you have more stuff than you started with cause you can't leave all the bargains you see. But there is always next year to start again!!!!

Redwork voor mijn keuken / Redwork for my kitchen

De laatste twee weken ben ik veel bezig geweest met mijn nieuwe naai-/borduurmachine.Ik ben er super blij mee maar het zal nog wel een tijdje duren voordat ik precies door heb hoe alles precies werkt. Gisteren heb ik deze zakjes gemaakt voor in mijn keuken. De kruiden op de zakjes zijn met rood geborduurd op oud frans linnen. Het linnen heb ik vorig jaar zomer op een marktje in zuid frankrijk gekocht.

The last two weeks i'm busy with trying out my new sewing/embroidery machine. I'm very happy with the machine but i think it will take some time to learn exactly how everything works. Yesterday i made this little herbs bags for my kitchen. I sewed the names of the herbs with red on old French linen that i bought last year on a market in French.

Altered Matchbox

Vandaag met nog een lucifersdoosje bezig geweest. Het is heel anders geworden dan de vorige. Ik heb hier nog meer met allerlei stofjes gewerkt. Om alles op het doosje vast te naaien heb ik eerst het hele doosje uit elkaar gesloopt. Vervolgens alle stofjes erop gelegd en daarna laagje voor laagje alles erop genaaid. Vervolgens het doosje weer dichtgeplakt. Het binnendoosje is bekleed met papier uit een woordenboek daarna de bodem bekleed met een stofje waar ik een kantje op genaaid heb. Omdat ik vind dat in een doosje een verrassing hoort heb ik er een paar kleine goodies ingestopt. Is er iemand die dit lucifersdoosje met me wil ruilen voor een ander aangekleed lucifersdoosje???? Mag ook iets anders zijn maar wel graag iets met stof.Ik hoor het wel je kan mij emailen door op de email button onder mijn foto op mijn blog te clicken.

Today i made another machbox. This time totally different from the other one. I used a lot of fabric scraps and sew them all on the box. On he inside box i glued some old dictionary paper and the bottom is layered with fabric and a little lace. Ofcourse there are a few goodies in the box to complete it. I love to work with this tiny size and make a collage on it. Is there anyone who wants to trade this little matchbox with me for somethimg simular??? I love everything made of fabric!! Wow.. meer dan50 volgers. Dat had ik nooit gedacht toen ongeveer twee jaar geleden begon met bloggen. Mijn hele leven ben ik altijd bezig geweest met allerlei creatieve uitspattingen. Het leek mij dan ook een leuk idee om via een blog creativiteit te delen. Schoentjes / Shoes

We zijn weer thuis en mensen wat is het koud hier. In spanje hebben we wisselende dagen gehad soms prachtig weer met veel zon en soms bewolkt. Maar de temperatuur was altijd goed. Vandaag weer mijn hobbyhok ingekropen en deze schoentjes afgemaakt. Het zijn dezelfde roze schoentjes als de vorige keer maar ditmaal heb ik ze wit geverfd. Verder natuurlijk heerlijk zitten spelen met mijn nieuwe naaimachine. Wow... er gaat een wereld voor mij open. Het is een naai-/borduurmachine. Heb me de afgelopen dagen dan ook op al mijn handdoeken gegooid en daar allemaal initialen opgeborduurd. Tja... bij gebrek aan een familiewapen hahahaha. Volgende keer zal ik daar ook een foto van plaatsen

We are back from Spain. It's terrible cold here in the Netherlands. Today it rains the whole day. In Spain we had a lot of sun and sometimes clouds but always nicely warm. Today I finished a second pair of shoes. Again I started with the pink shoes but this time I painted them white. Before my vacation I received my new sewing/embroideries machine. I have a lot of fun to play with it. After a few days all my towels had our initials hahaha ... Ok that is a start. The next time a place some photos of all my embroideries projects.
