Fall

Fall is here with all his beautiful colors and secrets in the forest. Do you rember them?   The trees gave there most beautiful colours,everywhere the warm coloured chestnuts falling down. In the old wood all kind of secret things growing. Dreaming that there lives elfs under. After that eating a warm pancake with sirup. And  ofcourse baking cookies with mamma..  Oh all those sweet memories wich are now happening in the life of my little granddaughter. Are we not blessed with our grandchildren so we can experience those feelings twice in our life??

A beautiful gift from a dear friend.

In our creative blogger world you meet a lot of friends. Some nearby and some far away on this world. Just a few of them become very dear friends. For me one of those friends is Dorthe. Always caring for her friends and so creative  her BLOG is so inspirational. One or twice a year Dorthe and i have a swap. Last week i received a box from her filled with the most beautiful gifts. All wrapped with love and care. There was a beautiful card.

And this very special roll. made of beautiful lace, fabrics, images and beads.Never seen such before.

And than the most beautiful lace book. She knows i love birds so this book is filled with birds images and beautiful nature elements in little pockets. Look and enjoy all these beautiful pages she made.

And ofcourse there where some goodies Dorthe knows i enjoy very much.

Striped crochet blanket

I always wanted to crochet a blanket.  I admired all those beautiful blankets on internet and dreamed of once making one myself.  Ok i have some beginners skills with crocheting but further than a pair of baby socks i never became. Till i saw this beautiful blanket on the blog of  Little Woollie.  With the fall coming i thought that it was a great challenge to start crocheting one during  the long dark evenings. Different colors than i normally use but so much fun to do.  My little granddaughter saw all the colors and checked every day how it was growing  or maybe ready. And now it is ready and with all the support i had from her it  is very hard to keep it for myselff. So in a  couple of weeks she is moving to  a ' big girls'  bed and i will give her the blanket  for her new bed. Now i have to make oine for myself again but... the winter is still coming.  

End of summer

My little granddaughter likes fruit very much. Now the summer is almost ending we made jam of the last strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. But ofcourse she wants to make it herself.

The result of her efforts.  Tomorrow she can eat it on he bread.

Some fabric work

After a very cold and rainy spring we have a beautiful summer with lots of sunshine. We lived outside and i hardly had any time to go to my hobby room. When i was in my hobby room i sew doll clothing for my little granddaughter.  Her doll has nothing to ware she said.  A big problem for a 2.5 y old child do you think?? So i sew trousers, blouses, dresses, rain coats and even a princess dress.  So funny to do but now i have enough of it and it's time to do something else. 

I made this french needle case after my vacation to france this summer. 

I love to try out some other technics with fabrics. For this one is used organza and tule.

First Banner

Two weeks ago i signed up for the on-line  Banner workshop from Nellie Wortman.. I so love the workshops from Nellie and ofcourse her work is fabulous. I had  lots of fun making this first banner. OK it's a little bit to big for a banner and a lot bigger than i had in my mind when i started this, so i have to think smaller in the future.  But it's ok for a wallhanger don't you think??

French Purse

Within a couple of weeks we are going to France for a vacation. Before i'm going i try to finish some projects wich are laying on my desk to long waiting for the final touch. Today i finished this leather french purse. Had to embroider the back and adding some beads. But....  it's ready.

Butterfly

Yesterday it was grey and rainy though time for me to go to my hobbyroom. I made this little fabric hanger with a small embroidered butterfly.

Finally after two months i had some time to create.  I so love my old french embroidery design. I made this bag from blue burlap and combined it with brown leather and a lovely blue fabric with a small flower.

Let me take you on a trip to Spain.

 I have so much good memories of our trip to Spain. We stayed for 2 months at my sisters place in the area of Torrevieja.  While staying there we made a trip for 5 days with my sister and her husband. Last year we made a trip to the Sierra Nevada and this year we choose for some historic cities.

After Granada and Cordoba we visit  Sevilla.  Let me tell you something about Sevilla  wich started years back on our trip to San Francisco in the USA. When i visit that city i imediately felt in love with that city it was so relaxed and had that special atmosphere that i love.  In Sevilla i had the same feeling a  world city too but with such an historic district and small streets with with terraces and typical spanisch tapas bars. But also the arabic influences.  We visit the Alcazar palace during our stay and felt Columbus around us.

 



Always have to knowwhat is upstairs,  at the end of the hall and behind the fences..

 

After visiting Sevilla we visit Rond. An old little village in a beautiful green area.

 

 

 









 For Spain we had a cold day at Ronda with lots of wind.

 

We went further to the coast line and stayed in a wonderful hotel with a magnificent view over see. In the morning when we wakeup this was the view out of my bed.

 

Wasn't bad after all our long walks in the cities.  And our dog was very happy with the beaches.

 

 

Hope you like your visit to Spain. We did.
