Book

Finally  i finished this book. In January I signed up for Nellie Wortmans Weekend Fabric Book class.  But due to my very bad creative energy i finished the book not in a weekend but over 6 months. But it is ready and i am happy with it.

Pillows

After my long stay in Spain my creative energy is totally gone. Without ideas or energy to start something new the only thing i do is crochet. I crocheted blankets in several colours for my children. Sew some new dresses for my granddaughter.  Loved all the projects but my sewing maching was calling out to me.So finally i sat down and sewed some new pillow covers for the chairs of  livingroom. A little bit french and hopefully a start of new sewing projects.

Crochet white wreath

A crochet experiment i worked on for weeks. I love how it turned out now it is hanging at my cupboard.

Crochet

When i'm not feeling very well or  a little upsett i always find myself back in using bright colous. On the moment my creative flow is very low not saying complete away. The only thing i'm doing is crochet. I started with this little heart. Using soft colours and made it a  little vintage. My normal work i would say.

 

It already arrives at my blogger friend.

 

After the soft heart i fell back on the bright and strong colors. I had some yarn over from the blanket i chrochet a while ago for my granddaughter. This time i crocheted a wreath going with that blanket.i felt a lot better after that. I love the crochet patterns from 24attick.com.

Fall

Fall is here with all his beautiful colors and secrets in the forest. Do you rember them?   The trees gave there most beautiful colours,everywhere the warm coloured chestnuts falling down. In the old wood all kind of secret things growing. Dreaming that there lives elfs under. After that eating a warm pancake with sirup. And  ofcourse baking cookies with mamma..  Oh all those sweet memories wich are now happening in the life of my little granddaughter. Are we not blessed with our grandchildren so we can experience those feelings twice in our life??

A beautiful gift from a dear friend.

In our creative blogger world you meet a lot of friends. Some nearby and some far away on this world. Just a few of them become very dear friends. For me one of those friends is Dorthe. Always caring for her friends and so creative  her BLOG is so inspirational. One or twice a year Dorthe and i have a swap. Last week i received a box from her filled with the most beautiful gifts. All wrapped with love and care. There was a beautiful card.

And this very special roll. made of beautiful lace, fabrics, images and beads.Never seen such before.

And than the most beautiful lace book. She knows i love birds so this book is filled with birds images and beautiful nature elements in little pockets. Look and enjoy all these beautiful pages she made.

And ofcourse there where some goodies Dorthe knows i enjoy very much.

Striped crochet blanket

I always wanted to crochet a blanket.  I admired all those beautiful blankets on internet and dreamed of once making one myself.  Ok i have some beginners skills with crocheting but further than a pair of baby socks i never became. Till i saw this beautiful blanket on the blog of  Little Woollie.  With the fall coming i thought that it was a great challenge to start crocheting one during  the long dark evenings. Different colors than i normally use but so much fun to do.  My little granddaughter saw all the colors and checked every day how it was growing  or maybe ready. And now it is ready and with all the support i had from her it  is very hard to keep it for myselff. So in a  couple of weeks she is moving to  a ' big girls'  bed and i will give her the blanket  for her new bed. Now i have to make oine for myself again but... the winter is still coming.  

End of summer

My little granddaughter likes fruit very much. Now the summer is almost ending we made jam of the last strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. But ofcourse she wants to make it herself.

The result of her efforts.  Tomorrow she can eat it on he bread.

Some fabric work

After a very cold and rainy spring we have a beautiful summer with lots of sunshine. We lived outside and i hardly had any time to go to my hobby room. When i was in my hobby room i sew doll clothing for my little granddaughter.  Her doll has nothing to ware she said.  A big problem for a 2.5 y old child do you think?? So i sew trousers, blouses, dresses, rain coats and even a princess dress.  So funny to do but now i have enough of it and it's time to do something else. 

I made this french needle case after my vacation to france this summer. 

I love to try out some other technics with fabrics. For this one is used organza and tule.

First Banner

Two weeks ago i signed up for the on-line  Banner workshop from Nellie Wortman.. I so love the workshops from Nellie and ofcourse her work is fabulous. I had  lots of fun making this first banner. OK it's a little bit to big for a banner and a lot bigger than i had in my mind when i started this, so i have to think smaller in the future.  But it's ok for a wallhanger don't you think??
